Aishwarya Rai's golden comeback

Aishwarya Rai has been approached by Kalyan Jewellers to be their brand ambassador. She may get remuneration to the tune of 10 crores. The jewellers also want to rope in Bollywood superstar and her father - in - law Amitabh Bachchan. Aishwarya Rai is definitely interested, we hear. 

The actress has refused movie offers for now as she wants to be with her daughter and is enjoying motherhood. Since this is an endorsement deal, Ash is thinking about it but she is hesitant as she needs to lose the extra weight she has been carrying since the delivery. Sources say that she is confident about getting her shape back and will sign on the dotted line

Monica's New Film

Can anyone forget her charming performance in the song Nila Kaigirathu from the film Indra? Monica has been a promising performer since. Her performances in Sandakozhi, Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi and Azhagi are definitely praiseworthy. Now the actress has been roped in as the lead in Amaran.

The film will also star Adarsh of Madhikettan Salai fame as its hero. The film will be directed by Senthil. The story of Amaran revolves around the gangsters of North Chennai. It must be noted that in 1992, a film was released with the same title starring Karthik, Bhanupriya and Prathap Pothen.

I am single, confirms Shruti!

Shruti Haasan is usually peppered with questions about her love life. The actress is in the spotlight now with the release of the much hyped film, 3. Her performance has received critical acclaim and critics have opined that she is convincing as a school girl and her body language was impressive.

While addressing the media recently, Shruti said that films are her priority now and she wants to do great films in the South as well as in Bollywood. As for relationships, Shruti said she is single and not yet ready to mingle. The actress said that work takes up all her time and at present there is no one special in her life for her to make the time for.

Dhanush and Shruthi thrilled by Kamal's advise

Kamal Haasan is very busy with Viswaroopam and is completely wrapped up in post-production work. He was supposed to be in Los Angeles last week on work and was very disappointed that he would miss the release of his daughter, Shruti's film, 3 directed by Aishwarya Dhanush. Hearing about this, Dhanush arranged a very special screening for Kamal Haasan and his daughter.


The legend became very emotional on seeing the film and he hugged Shruti. He said that though everyone said that Shruti takes after her mother, Sarika, he saw a lot of himself in her and this was obvious in 3. Kamal also praised Dhanush and offered some useful suggestions to ensure the success of the Hindi version. He suggested that Dhanush do away with the distinctly South Indian elements in the film, so that the North Indian audience will identify with it. Dhanush and Shruti were thrilled with his feedback and tips.

Amitabh in Tamil film!!

Balakrishnan, the director of Mudhalvar Mahatma which was released recently is all set to move on to his next project. Mudhalvar Mahatma had Anupam Kher in a pivotal role and music by Ilaiyaraja. Activist Anna Hazare himself expressed an interest in the film and watched a special screening of it.

Now Balakrishnan wants to make a film on the India - Pakistan divide. He has approached Amitabh Bachchan for the role and apparently the Bollywood superstar is interested in the script and might give the green light for this project. Balakrishnan is keeping his fingers crossed.
